The Rayar Way ("we", "us", "our") is a New Zealand travel business based in Glen Eden, Auckland. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use this website or enquire about a trip.
1. What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, country.
- Trip details: travel dates, travellers' ages, interests, dietary requirements, budget and any notes you send us.
- Enquiry and estimate records: the answers you submit to our trip cost estimator, and the estimate we generate from them.
- Technical information: IP address, browser type and pages visited, where collected by our hosting provider for security and performance.
We do not collect payment card details on this website. Payments are arranged separately by invoice.
2. How we use it
We use your information to:
- respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote or itinerary;
- arrange bookings with accommodation, transport and activity suppliers;
- provide support before and during your trip;
- improve our website and services;
- send occasional travel notes if you subscribe (you can unsubscribe at any time).
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary with:
- suppliers such as hotels, transport operators and activity providers, to deliver your trip;
- service providers who host our website and database (Neon, in the Sydney region) and send email (Resend);
- professional advisers or authorities where required by law.
4. Storage and security
Our database is hosted by Neon in the Sydney region. Access is restricted to authorised team members, protected by strong passwords and encrypted connections. We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to serve you and meet our legal obligations, then delete or anonymise them.
5. Cookies and analytics
This website uses only essential cookies required for security and admin sign-in. If we enable analytics, we will use a cookieless, privacy-friendly service and update this policy.
6. Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email info@therayarway.com and we will respond within 20 working days.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top will change when we do.
