These terms apply to your use of this website and to travel services arranged by The Rayar Way ("we", "us"), based in Glen Eden, Auckland, New Zealand. By requesting a quote or booking a trip, you accept these terms.

1. Quotes and bookings

  • Every itinerary and quote is prepared for a specific enquiry and is valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise.
  • A booking is confirmed only when we issue a written confirmation and receive the deposit.
  • Prices are in New Zealand dollars unless stated otherwise and are based on the suppliers' rates at the time of quoting.
  • We act as an agent for accommodation, transport and activity suppliers. Their terms may also apply.

2. Payment

  • A deposit is required to confirm a booking; the balance is due before travel as stated on your invoice.
  • We accept bank transfer and card payment. Card fees may apply.
  • We do not hold client funds in a trust account. Supplier payment terms may require earlier payment for some bookings.

3. Changes and cancellations

  • Changes are subject to supplier availability and any supplier change fees.
  • Cancellation charges depend on the supplier's terms and how close to travel you cancel. Some bookings are non-refundable.
  • We will always tell you the cancellation terms in writing before you confirm.
  • We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance, including cancellation cover.

4. Travel documents, visas and health

  • You are responsible for a valid passport, the correct visa or NZeTA, and meeting New Zealand's entry requirements.
  • We can point you to official information but do not provide immigration advice.
  • You are responsible for declaring any medical or mobility needs that may affect your trip.

5. Travel insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of travelling with us for adventure activities. It should cover medical care, cancellation, disruption and the activities you plan to undertake.

6. Liability

  • We take care in selecting suppliers but are not liable for their acts or omissions, or for events beyond our reasonable control (weather, strikes, road closures, force majeure).
  • Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where they apply.
  • Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected services, to the extent permitted by law.

7. Website use

The content on this website is general information, not a binding offer. We aim to keep it accurate but prices, availability and schedules change. Do not rely on website content for a booking decision — request a current written quote.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Any dispute will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
